Havildar dies in road accident at Sivasagar

GAURISAGAR, July 18: Nayanmoni Konch, son of Tikheswar Konch, a resident of No.2 ward, Dergaon under Dergaon Police Station in Golaghat district, died on the spot in a road accident that took place on Tuesday morning on NH-37 at Charing Ali Kekuri under Gaurisagar Police Station in Sivasagar district. Nayanmoni Konch, a havildar of 11th APBN in Dergaon Police Training Centre (PTC) was going home from Sivasagar in his new Maruti Ertiga car (no registration number). Suddenly his car hit a rice-laden truck coming from opposite direction bearing registration no. AS-03-AC-8398.

Local people immediately informed the Gaurisagar PS. The body was recovered from the ill-fated car and sent to Sibsagar Civil Hospital for post-mortem. Nayanmoni is survived by his wife, a daughter and a son.
