Hayuliang by-poll on Nov 19

Itagar, Oct 18: The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule of bye-election to 45-Hayuliang (ST) Assembly Constituency to be held on November 19. The notification will be issued on October 26 and the last date of submission of nomitions is November 2. The counting will be on November 22 according to a notification issued by Nirvachan Bhawan here. Bye-election of Hayuliang assembly constituency was necessitated after the demise of elected candidate of the constituency and former Chief Minister Kalikho Pul. The Model Code of Conduct for the guidance of political parties and candidates have come into immediate effect in entire Anjaw district with the announcement of the bye-election until completion of the election, the release said.
