GUWAHATI, April 4: The Gauhati High Court has sent a show-cause notice to the Darrang District Brahmin Samaj to show as to why it had taken a number of resolutions banning the marriage of Brahmins with members of other castes. The High Court has also issued a show-cause notice to the Darrang DC to show as to why his office did not take any action on the complaint lodged before him in this connection.
