HC tells Vadra's firm to go for I-T re-assessment

New Delhi, Feb 15: Hearing a plea against re-assessment notice issued by the Income Tax Department to Sky Light Hospitality, in which Robert Vadra is a partner, the Delhi High Court on Thursday asked the company to appear before IT officials. A division bench of Justices Sanjiv Khan and Chander Shekhar heard the petition of Sky Light Hospitality LLP, now Sky Light Hospitality Pvt Ltd, against an IT notice. The court told the representative of the company — in which Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s brother-in-law Vadra is a partner — to appear before the assessing officer on February 19. The court said it did not find any merit in the company’s plea. The company has challenged the Income Tax notice which has sought assessment details for 2010-11. (IANS)
