Head assistant of gaon Water Resource Division caught taking bribe

GAON (HAIBORGAON), September 19: A team of BIEO of Assam Police, Guwahati on Monday morning apprehended the head assistant of gaon Water Resource Division, Lokman Ali from his government residence situated at gaon Itachali area for allegedly taking bribe from some contractors and also allegedly keeping important government files in his residence.

According to sources, the specific enquiry team of BIEO of Assam Police, on the basis of intelligence input, raided the residence of Lokman Ali and during the raid, the team caught Ali red-handed while he was taking bribe from a contractor. The team also seized some important and confidential official files which he allegedly kept in his residence. The team took him to gaon Sadar police station and then took him to Guwahati along with them.
