Health camp in district jail

Goalpara, March 29: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) arranged two consecutive programmes on Tuesday and Wednesday in the town. In its first programme titled ‘Refreshers Training’, the DLSA provided training on different Juvenile Justice acts in the conference hall of the district court. The training was imparted and attended by Prasanta Buragohain, chairman DLSA, and district and sessions judge, Ronjeeta Agarwala, secretary DLSA and the other judges of Goalpara district court. The participants included members of Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee and police officers of different stations. In the second programme on Wednesday, a health camp was organized inside the district jail, and eye and dental check-up of the prison inmates was done. The programme was arranged in collaboration with the district health society.
