Health campaign in Dibrugarh held

Dibrugarh, Dec 11: A health awareness campaign as well as a felicitation ceremony was conducted by Anzuman-e-Khadematul Islam (AKI), a women’s organization at the auditorium of Baga Baba Mazhar, Dibrugarh on December 9. The event also witnessed the release of a magazine titled Noor-e-Imaan.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Basant Sharma, Department of Nephrology, spoke on the precautions one needed to take against various diseases. The magazine was released by noted writer Gourika Baruah Ahmed, who also shed light on the importance of women education. Many meritorious students, from HSLC to postgraduation level, were also felicitated on the occasion.

The event was presided over by the general secretary of AKI, Alam Ara Begum. Earlier, the joint secretary of the organization, Reha Banu, put forward the objective of the meeting.
