Health Commissioner reviews flood situation

Dibrugarh, May 3: The Health Commissioner of the Assam Government’s Health and Family Welfare Department, Sameer Sinha reviewed the various health schemes and different health related programmes with the officials of the Health Department of Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Sivasagar and Jorhat districts.

The meeting held at the Circuit House here recently was attended by Deputy Commissioner MS Manivann. Sinha also took stock of the recent flood situation and assured to provide all forms of help and cooperation to meet the situation.  Joint Health Director Dr. Paban Swarkar, Dr Ripun Borpujari, Dr Altab Ahmed, Dr Udayan Bora of Dibrugarh , Sivsagar, Tinsukia and Jorhat respectively attended the meeting along with other senior officials of the department.

The Health Commissioner, Sinha later visited Assam Medical College and Hospital along with DME, Dr Anup Barman, Director, Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam, Dr Rathindra Bhuyan , DC , Manivann and ADC Anjava Chaliha. During his visit, Sinha had a long discussion with the Principal of AMCH, Dr Ratan Kotoky, Vice-Principal, Dr Hem Kalita and other senior faculty members of the AMC regarding various development issues of the college.
