Health mela organized

Dibrugarh, Feb19: The Lahowal Primary Health Centre in collaboration with Maijan Tea garden District Health Committee and tiol Health Mission organized a Health Mela here on Thursday.

Iugurating the Swasthya Mela, Deputy Commissioner, MS Manivann stated that the local people would be highly and specially benefitted from this health mela.

He further stated how the State Government has taken steps to strengthen the infrastructure in providing specialized medical services to all the communities including those living at the grassroot level.  

Manivann laid emphasis on giving better medical treatment to pregnt women and children. He gave importance on the intake of nutritious food by pregnt women and on child deliveries at government hospitals. The programme was also attended amongst others by MLA former minister, Prithibi Majhi, Joint Director of District Health Department, Dr. Paban Swarkar.
