Green Bell Pepper: A large green pepper is a good source of dietary fibre and provides not more than 33 calories, enough reasons for a weight watcher to embrace this vegetable. Roast it, steam it, stuff it or simply stir-fry!

Tulsi: A decoction made with 10-12 tulsi (Holy basil) leaves, a pinch turmeric powder, ¼ tsp ginger juice and 1 tsp honey is an excellent potion for children's ailments like cough, fever, asthma and bronchitis. For those who want to benefit from this magic herb simply chew 10-12 leaves everyday or try adding it to regular tea.

Sesame Seeds: 1tbsp i.e. 15 gm of these tiny seeds provide approx. 90 mg of calcium (making up to 1/10th of the Recommended Daily Allowance for calcium) which is essential for growing and maintaining healthy bones. Roast them lightly and add to soups, salads, parathas, chikki or use them to temper various food preparations.
