Healthcare centre of Jata College initiated

Silchar, Aug 25: Jata College, Kabuganj, 30 km from Silchar, which earned a place of distinction by setting up Northeast Archival Corner as a part of its modernization of library has now come forward to have a health care centre med after Bharat Mata. The aim of this health care centre is to work towards the better health of students in general. The health care centre was iugurated at a simple but solemn function held recently and iugurated by local MLA Aminl Haque Laskar, who was also the chief-guest on the occasion.

 The MLA said he was always for the overall development of rural colleges and Jata College needed to be taken care of in particular for its innovative thinking and achievements. He assured that from the next academic year, all out efforts would be made to introduce science stream in this college. He would take initiative in coordition with the principal and the teachers in general. Besides, he would see that the residential quarter of the warden of the girls’ hostel was constructed. Along with that he would also try to ensure regular supply of safe drinking water.

 An amount of Rs.50 lakh was sanctioned for the completion of the boundary wall of the College by the MLA Aminul Haque Laskar. The College needs a separate transformer for regular supply of electricity. For that, he would spare no effort. At the outset, principal Subhas Chandra th extended hearty and colourful welcome to Laskar. Others who spoke on the occasion besides the principal included Dr. Prafulla Singha, lecturer, department of political science, Dr. Biswajit th, Dr. Amal Kanti Singh and Pradip Kumar Singha, librarian.
