Hearing on demand for reservation

GAON, October 15: Agrasor Muslim Jatiya Aikya Mancha who has been demanding reservation in employment and education of backward Muslims, recently submitted a public memorandum to the Assam Backward Commission and also demanded that those who are living in Assam and belong to Julha, Jale, Fakir, shya Sheikh, Sharshabadia and Sapui should be be brought under OBC list. The Commission comprising retired Justice K N Saikia as chairman and J M Phukan as member, resumed the hearing on the issue of backward Muslims and gave three months time to submit the detail survey report before the Commission.
