Heavy rush in banks, long queues at ATMs

Dhekiajuli, November 13: Long queues were seen in front of all the ATMs in Dhekiajuli on Sunday. People started queuing up in front of the ATMs of SBI, PNB, Axis Bank, UCO Bank and Indian Bank from 7 am.  The bank officers have been extremely busy since the last couple of days.  Meanwhile, the tea estate employees of the neighbouring tea estates are facing problems due to non-receipt of their salary from the tea estate authorities. The tea garden authorities are trying to collect the adequate currency from the local banks to pay the salary of their employees.  Adequate security arrangements have been made in and around the banks and ATMs of Dhekiajuli town by the local administration.
