Hectic preparations on to welcome Baba Ramdev in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, Nov 14: Hectic preparations are going on in full swing to welcome Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev in the mega meditation camp and free Yog treatment scheduled to be held at Green Field, Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar from November 21 to November 23. Baba Ramdev will join the three-day free Yog treatment and meditation camp along with Bal Achariya.

A meeting of the reception committee was held at its office at Sikhjhar Taekwondo gymsium on Sunday to review the progress of the work. The meeting, which was chaired by the president of the reception committee, Rabiram rzary who is also the MLA of 30-Kokrajhar East, took progress reports from various sub-committees. He also sought active cooperation from the district administration, gaon buras and local organizations for smooth and peaceful holding of mega Yoga camp at Kokrajhar.

The secretary of the reception committee, Derhasat Basumatary said for smooth holding of programme, the 20-25 km radius of Kokrajhar had been divided in to four zones with Railway tract dividing South and North and Jwhwlao Dwimalu Road dividing East and West zones. He said 28 yoga teachers from different parts of Assam had been giving yog training in the yog sibir (yoga camps) in the district in and around 20-25 km radius of Kokrajhar.

Basumatary said the construction of main pandal would start from November 16 by the central committee of Patanjali from Haridwar. He said 500 CISF jawans of NTPC, Salakati would join the mega yog treatment and they would erect a separate camp.

The free yog treatment and meditation camp is sponsored by the BTC and Patanjali’s state praharis were actively joining in the work. “Over one lakh people are likely to take part in free yog treatment and meditation camp,” he said adding that the NGOs, schools, Ex-BLT Welfare Society and different social organizations were sponsoring welcome gates in Kokrajhar.
