Heema hospital expands with additiol 50 bedded annexure

Itagar, May 25: Bringing modern medical facilities a step closer to the state, a 50 bedded Annexe Building of Heema Hospital with operation complex (five OTs), and facilities equipped with SIEMENS 16 slice CT scanner, 4D Color Doppler USG, Digital X-Ray, was iugurated, here on Sunday.

Congratulating the staffs of Heema Hospital for the new annexe building, Chief Minister bam Tuki opined that the modern medical facilities here in the state will minimize the incurrence of travelling cost to other states.Tuki added that the hospital has also shared the state government’s burden of generating employment for the youths by employing 361 staffs, which is highest in a private hospital in the state.

While citing the Chief Minister’s Universal Health Insurance Scheme and stating it as one of the “model health security scheme” Tuki claimed that 100 patients have undergone treatment under the scheme at Heema Hospital.Further speaking on the continuity of the scheme in future, CM informed that the state government has increased 50 and 25 percent tax on tobacco and alcohol respectively to sustain the scheme.

PHED Minister Takam Pario while stating that hospitals are the assets of the state admitted that the state still has many more developments to be achieved under the health sector.Also appreciating the installation of new modern medical equipment in the hospital, Pario urged all to co-operate with the hospital staffs for better medical facilities. Pario was speaking as the guest of honor in the iugural ceremony.

The Heema Hospital CMD Byabang Ra while terming the doctors as the “real heroes” and assets of the state dedicated the day to the medical fraternity of the state. He said that the new installation of modern equipment will further encourage and motivate the doctors and that more success in the medical sector would be achieved.During the programme, senior surgeon Dr. S th was also felicitated for his remarkable contribution in the field of medical and also for his contributions in the development of Heema Hospital.
