Helping hand to cancer patient by Kokrajhar College alumni

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 27: The alumni of Kokrajhar College, 1991-92 batch (HS Science) on Sunday extended a helping hand and showed solidarity by visiting the residence of a cancer patient at Gossaigaon who is the wife of their batchmate.

A 10-member group of former students of Kokrajhar College visited the house of their batchmate Carol rzary at Gossaigaon and prayed for early recovery of his wife who has been suffering from cancer. Since the patient has to go to the hospital for her fourth chemotherapy session soon, the students generously contributed Rs. 64,500 to the family.

The decision to extend help was taken when they organized a get together-cum-silver jubilee of their friendship on February 19 at Gaurang Park, Kokrajhar.
