Hem Barua Award to JB College

GUWAHATI, April 20: The Hem Barua Trust, in association with Asaban Vikas Forum has announced the Hem Barua Award for the year 2016 to JB College, Jorhat, one of the elite educatiol institutions of Upper Assam, a press release stated. “The College since inception has moulded the character and destiny of thousands of boys and girls before and after the country’s independence. We are proud to make this announcement on the 101st birth anniversary of Late Hem Barua falling on April 22. It was a privilege for Hem Barua to have been associated with this premier institution,” the trust said in the release.  The award carries a citation and a cash award of Rs 50000. The award will be formally given in May/June 2016.
