Hem Baruah remembered at NFRMU youth convention

Bongaigaon, January 22:  “Hem Baruah was the most honest and dedicated MP from Assam,” said Ramani Barman, president of North East Frontier Railway Mazdoor Union (NFRMU) at a mass meeting in New Bongaigaon on Thursday. He said that today’s youth should adopt the ideology of Hem Baruah.

The mass meeting had been organized by NFRMU in Hem Baruah gar of New Bongaigaon for the birth centery celebration of Hem Baruah. It had been organized on the occasion of the fourth Zol Youth Convention of NFRMU held in Bongaigaon since January 21.

Several noted persons including Rakhal Das Gupta, president of All India Railwaymen’s Federation, R B Ray Sarma, former Vice Principal of Bongaigaon College, Mukunda Sarma, former Principal of Birjhora H S School, Birbrata Das Choudhury, Lecturer of Bongaigaon Polytechnique, Gopeswar Talukdar, retired Lecturer of Bongaigaon College and Jayashree Baruah were present in this meeting.

The second day programme of the Zol Youth convention started with flag hoisting by Ramani Barman. The convention hall was iugurated by R B Ray Sarma. A souvenir barun was released by Mukunda Sarma.
