Hemanta Kumar Mahanta appointed as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan brand ambassador in Golaghat

SARUPATHAR: Social worker and journalist Hemanta Kumar Mahanta from Pabhojan, Barpathar under Dhansiri subdivision has been appointed as the Golaghat district brand ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. He was appointed by Dr Sashi Kanta Saikia, the Assam State Brand Ambassador of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Hemanta Kumar Mahanta is the son of freedom fighter Ghana Kanta Mahanta. He is also a proposer of the famous blood donation team ‘Humanity’. Assam Press Correspondents’ Union (APCU) Dhansiri subdivision president Pratap Gogoi, vice-president Manik Kumar Deb, general secretary Tulsi Chutia and various organizations felicitated Hemanta Kumar Mahanta with phulam gamusa and bouquet.
