Hilsa festival organized at 6 Ballygunge Place

Guwahati, July 12:  A fish connoisseur’s ultimate journey is through the queen of fish – Hilsa. 6 Ballygunge Place leads the journey with the Hilsa Festival, an afternoon promising to explore and discover newer flavors. For the first time the Guwahati outlet of 6 Ballygunge Place will be celebrating this mouth watering Hilsa Festival for all the fish lovers. Hilsa/Ilish, a marine fish which is found in the rivers of West Bengal and Bangladesh is considered to be the ultimate pit stop in delicacy in both sides of the border. The flaky flesh and the distinct aroma once it’s cooked, be it steamed or fried with a variety of spices, is part of a mouthwatering discussion for many.  “Nowadays traditiol recipes are fast disappearing, so bringing back the authentic flavors is our main goal, alongside creating innovative dishes for the changing palate. This festival will give the gourmands an opportunity to savor the diverse flavors of Hilsa”, said Sushanta Sengupta, Director, 6 Ballygunge Place. This was stated in a press release.
