Himachal HC bails out ex-DGP's son in forgery case

Shimla, October 29: The Himachal Pradesh High Court on Thursday granted anticipatory bail to Amil Manhas, a son of former director general of police D.S. Manhas, in a forgery case. Granting bail, Justice Rajiv Sharma directed Amil to join the investigation, as and when required. However, the court said that if the petitioner (Amil) misused his liberty or violated any of the conditions imposed on him, the investigating agency shall be free to move the court for cancellation of the bail. The accused is chairman of Albeit Educatiol and Welfare Trust, which runs a nursing college in U town of Himachal. (IANS)
