Himachal’s Keylong shivers at minus 1.9 degrees

Shimla, Dec 18:  The hills of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday witnessed another sunny but chilly day with temperatures in many areas staying below freezing point. “It was a bright, sunny day across the state with the prevailing dry weather to continue till December 24,” an official of the meteorological office said. Keylong, headquarters of Lahaul and Spiti, was the coldest with a minimum temperature of minus 1.9 degree Celsius. Kalpa in Kinur district was close to the freezing point at one degree, while the temperature was 2.2 degrees in Mali and 9.8 degrees in Dharamsala. The state capital’s night temperature was 7.2 degree Celsius, while it was 4.5 degrees in Palampur. (IANS)
