Himanta's effigy burnt in Golaghat, Jorhat

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial)/JORHAT, November 4: The activists of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samity (KMSS) and Satra Mukti Sangram Samity (SMSS) burnt the effigy of State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s effigy at Bezbaruah point in Golaghat town on Friday in protest against his alleged commul comment.

The activists shouted slogans against Himanta Biswa Sarma. They slammed the BJP government of Assam for doing politics in the me of religion. They warned State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to avoid commul comments or face the consequences.

In Jorhat too, activists of KMSS Jorhat district committee burnt the minister’s effigy in front of the ASTC bus station. Hundreds of KMSS activists shouted slogans against Sarma. KMSS Jorhat district committee has criticized Himanta Biswa Sarma for his unparliamentary comment regarding Hindu migrants, stated a press release.
