Homage to beloved Malobika Choudhury

There is immense sadness that our very beloved Malobika Choudhury passed away on October 25, 2015. She drifted off to sleep without any further pain, anguish or suffering but the news of her demise gave a sudden pain in my heart. I do not think we will ever be able to accept or live quite the same way knowing you are not here.

My sister, Madhumita Choudhury rushed to Guwahati leaving all her works in between in South-India as she was there for her treatment when she came to know that her mother was undergoing treatment in a hospital. Even her younger sister Mitali Choudhury came from the United States to be there with their mother.

Malobika Choudhury was a remarkable lady and an inspiration. She was associated with Ramkrish Mission, Guwahati and worked selflessly for the welfare of the society. Her efforts as a mother made two of her daughters highly qualified and well – settled.

 She will always be remembered as a kind and helpful lady and it was a privilege to know her. My condolences go out to her family and all who loved her. She will be truly missed.
