Homage to Dhemaji blast victims

Dibrugarh, August 17: In memory of all those killed in the Dhemaji bomb blast on the occasion of Independence Day in 2004, State Mourning Day was observed here along with the other parts of the State, under the aegis of the district administration. A condolence meeting was organized on the occasion at the DC’s conference room on August 15 with Deputy Commissioner MS Manivann in the chair. In his brief address, Manivann condemned such dastardly act, and called upon all to stand united against all forms of militancy. He also administered the oath of the day to all staff, employees and others and observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect to all those killed in the Dhemaji blast.
