Hotel gutted in fire at Golaghat

Golaghat, February 28: A devastating fire broke out in Golaghat town on Sunday creating panic among people. Baloram Hotel in Golaghat town caught fire. Flames were seen rising high. The flames spread to another hotel nearby - Anpur Mistan Bhandar - and then to another shop called Mamon Enterprise. A total of five business establishments were destroyed in the devastating fire. People could not contact the fire and emergency service due to poor telecom network. Later two fire engines rushed to the spot and tried for several hours to control the fire. In this fire property worth about a crore was damaged. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained as yet.
