JORHAT, April 2: The 4th edition of Hemendra Prasad Barooah Memorial Invitatiol Golf Tourment held at Kaziranga Golf Resort on Sunday. There was large scale participation of golfers from different parts of the region. Kaziranga Golf Course has been taking initiative for promotion of golf in the region and as part of its endeavour it has for the first time introduced a Veterans category for players of 60 years and above. Jakir Hussain became the overall winner of the tourment while the winner in the Veterans category was Partha Saikia of Jorhat and runner up Dr. Deepak Verma of Dibrugarh.
The other winners in different categories were gesh Singh, Rajib Sharma, Brig. S.S. Dhankar and Reetamoni Hazarika and the runner ups were Gautam Barkataki, Ranjit Singh, Wasveer Hussain and Mamta Begum.
