HS Results: Gauhati Commerce College Bags 3 Ranks

GUWAHATI: Neha Agarwalla, the third rank holder in the AHSEC examination, 2019 from Gauhati Commerce College, has brought laurels to her college. She scored a total of 465 with state highest in Accountancy. A resident of Christian Basti, Neha claimed that she was sure of procuring a position in the top ten. “I was certain of securing a position from the moment the exams ended. My brother Sanket Agarwalla was also a third rank holder in the AHSEC examinations, 2011. Presently, he is an Administrative officer”, the victor gushed.

Arunabh Nath, the fourth rank holder scored a total of 461, with state highest in Accountancy, Comm Maths and Statistics. A resident of Hengrabari, Arunabh informed that he would study B.Com in the same college and aspired to be a Chartered Accountant (CA) in the future.

Rahul Roy, the fifth rank holder scored a total of 460. He is from Fatasil, Ambari and wishes to join government services, especially the banking sector. “My inspiration is my father Haripad Roy, an SBI Deputy Manager in Narsingpur, and I strive to follow his footsteps”, Rahul said. The Principal of the college Homeswar Kalita said, “This is the first time that we have a cent percent pass record and are extremely satisfied with the outcome.” He further informed that till this time, there were three sections with 150 students each but this year, the number is reduced to a 100 each section. The HS admission will be from June 14, while the B Com examinations will be from June 19.

434 students appeared Gauhati Commerce College this year, out of which all 434 passed 295 secured 1st Division, 110 secured 2nd Division and 29 secured 3rd Division. There are 3 Rank holders and 89 Star recipients.
