HSDC alleges poor quality construction works by KAAC

HAMREN, April 5: The recent collapse of the retaining wall thrice in one year, that too of the official residence of the Chief Executive Member of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC), points at the low standard of works executed by the BJP-ruled KAAC.

The ratio of cement and sand in the construction work is also not equal. Even iron rods needed were not sufficient due to which the wall keeps collapsing. The repeated collapse of the wall has also demonstrated that the work was not properly supervised. All materials used in the works were of inferior quality. Now if this is the quality of work in the residence of the CEM, what will be the quality of work in other places?

People have called for a CBI inquiry into the matter and for dismissal of the BJP-ruled KAAC to ensure that no public money is misused or misappropriated. The enterprise which is engaged in the construction work and is allegedly owned by persons close to the CEM should be immediately blacklisted and its members should be brought to book, said Danial Teron i/c of HSDC propoganda.
