HSLC candidate allegedly raped by teacher in Chitila

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 23: In a sensatiol case, a teacher allegedly raped a 15-year old girl HSLC candidate at Chitila area under Fakiragram police station in Kokrajhar district on Tuesday evening.

Sensation prevailed in the locality following the alleged rape of 15-year old HSLC candidate by a teacher at Chitila. According to police, the victim lodged an FIR at Fakiragram police station on Wednesday against the accused teacher GaziRahmanParmanik (42) for raping her on Tuesday evening.

Ibrahim Ali, I/C of the Chitila police outpost in Kokrajhar, said that the girl lodged an FIR against GaziRahemanParamanik and a case has been registered against him. He said the girl was allegedly raped on Tuesday evening. The accused, who is currently attached with a Cluster Resource Centre (CRC) in the area, is absconding. Ali also said police had started investigation in the case.

Talking to media persons, the victim said that the teacher forcefully covered her mouth and took her near a cemetery and raped. The girl said she had gone to the toilet outside her house when the accused forcefully took her to an isolated place and raped her. She demanded justice and arrest of the accused teacher as soon as possible.She is a HSLC candidate of Bhaoraguri High School centre.

AnowarHussain, president of the AAMSU, Kokrajhar district committee said that the organization condemned the incident and demanded the district administration to arrest the teacher and punish him. The ABMSU has also demanded strict action against the accused.
