From A Reporter

Shillong,  March 8:  BJP legislator and Health Minister in the MDA Government-led by NPP Chief Conrad Sangma on Thursday said that the decision of HSPDP chief Ardent Miller Basaiawmoit to resign from the position of president is his persol decision while adding that two MLAs of the HSPDP are now working with the BJP in the Government. “The decision of the two HSPDP MLAs to support the MDA Government is a very positive choice because they want to work for the people,” Hek told reporters at his office chamber in the city. He added, “If the two MLAs did not want to work in the interest of the people, they would not have taken the decision to support the coalition Government.” It may be mentioned that earlier, Basaiawmoit in a press conference held on Monday had said that the Central Executive Committee (CEC) had conveyed the message to the two HSPDP MLAs (Samlin Malngiang and Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar) that they should not participate in the swearing-in-ceremony of the Conrad-led Ministry.
