HSU, CSWO condemn young woman’s murder

SHILLONG, Feb 24: The Hynniewtrep Student Union (HSU), central body, condemned the gruesome murder of a young woman at Dkhiah East Jaintia Hills district by unknown miscreants. The union in a statement issued here, urged the police department to hunt the culprits and punish them as per the law. The NGO demanded that offenders involved in such heinous crimes should not attain bail and put behind bars for the rest of their lives.  Meanwhile, the Civil Society Women Organisation (CSWO) on Friday condemned the murder of the young woman. “Such persons responsible for murder and rape of women and children, should not at all be given bail by the Courts who should keep in mind the seriousness of the cases even when no objection is raised by police or Prosecution,” Agnes Kharshiing president CSWO said here today.
