Hundreds join MIYF in Nongmynsong

SHILLONG, March 7: The Meghalaya Indigenous Youth Federation (MIYF) on 5 March 2016 organized an induction ceremony at Nongmynsong for newly joined members from Pynthorumkhrah region. The meeting was convened by the Convener, MIYF Pynthorumkhrah Circle Gerry Kharmuti in the presence of the Federation’s Chief Organiser Aibor Nongsiej. The meeting was also attended by indigenous youths from different localities of the region and later unimously elected the Convenor as the leader and the Chief Organiser appointed him as the full fledged Circle President. “Kharmuti as the newly elected Circle president has been authorised to nomite the member of the Circle’s Executive Committee within two week period,” Kitboklang Kharlyngdoh, Publicity Secretary, MIYF said in a statement released here on Monday.
