JORHAT, January 17: The Sikh community celebrated the 349th birth anniversary of the Guru Gobind Singh with great religious fervour and vigor at a function organized at Gurudwara Ramgharhia Sabha in Jorhat on Saturday. Despite the cold weather, hundreds of devotees visited the gurudwara to offer prayers. This year the celebration was marked important keeping in view the 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh that is to be celebrated with pomp and gaiety in 2017. Besides remembering Guru Gobind Singh, the teachings of the 10th guru were also preached.
