Hundreds of fish found dead at Lakhimpur

TANGLA, June 24: Hundreds of fish were found dead under mysterious circumstances in a pond at Lakhimpur under Kalaigaon revenue circle in Darrang district on Thursday. Reportedly nearly 15-20 quintals of fishes were found floating on in the historic Lakhimpur phukuri. While the cause is unclear, environment experts said water pollution could have resulted in their death.
