Hunt for miscreants

gaon, July 2: Miscreants on Wednesday damaged many vehicles and assaulted passengers, including  a woman, at Barkala village under gaon police station following the Assam bandh called by some Tiwa organizations. gaon police later arrested two persons for alleged involvement in the incident. One of them has been identified as Udhab Dekaraja who is a police constable working at APTF Lamding. The other is a farmer, Brikudar Bordoloi. On the other hand, the local people have claimed that the two arrested persons were innocent and were not involved in the incident. People said that video footage showed the real culprits. On Thursday, police launched an operation to b the culprits and four miscreants were picked up on the basis of video footage.
