Husband allegedly kills wife

Golaghat, Jan 17: A woman was allegedly killed by her husband at Majkhumtai village in Golaghat.  According to sources, Bonti Gohain, a 25-year old woman and wife of Khagen Gohain of Majkhumtai village, had an alleged extra-marital affair with a young man.  Bonti and her husband Khagen often fought and argued on this matter.  On Monday night, when Khagen found his wife talking with the man over phone, Khagen allegedly beat his wife in a fit of rage and she died. He is now in Golaghat Police custody.
