Husband kills wife at Pirakata

Dhekiajuli, Feb 7: Milan Sarkar was allegedly killed by her husband  Dipak Sarkar in number 1 Pirakata village under Dhekiajuli Police station on Saturday night over a domestic dispute. Sources said there was an argument between the couple last night over some family matters and after taking their dinner the couple went for sleep but after some time they again started fighting. Dipak Sarker allegedly started beating his wife with a cane and as a result, Milan Sarkar died on the spot. Later, the accused surrendered in the Dhekiajuli Police Station. The police registered a case against Dipak Sarkar  u/s 78/16. Later the police produced Dipak Sarkar before the Tezpur sessions court. The court sent  Dipak Sarkar to the central jail under section 302. Police investigation is on.
