Husband kills wife in Mokrong Tea Garden

GOLAGHAT (Dhekial), August 20: On Saturday, a husband allegedly brutally killed his wife.  The deceased has been identified as Rupali Bhumiz, resident of Mokrong Tea Garden under Ghiladhari Police station.

 Sources said that on Friday night, Dwipen Bawri and his wife Rupali Bhumiz started quarrelling over some family matter. Later, Dwipen Bawri went to sleep without taking dinner. On Saturday morning again they started quarrelling. In a fit if rage, Dwipen allegedly murdered his wife with a sharpen dao.

Hearing the screams of Rupali, her brother Prokash Bhumiz who was present in the house as a guest, quickly came to the spot. He too was attacked by Dwipen and sustained injury in the neck. Later, Prakash Bhumiz was admitted at Swahid Kushal Konwar Civil Hospital in a critical condition and Dwipen Bawri was under custody of Ghiladhari Police station till filing the report.
