HYC alleges anomalies in construction of bridge

NONGSTOIN, June 22: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC) Lai Lyngdoh Area Unit and Marshan mlang Unit on Tuesday conducted an inspection of RCC Bridge constructed by the Project Implementation Committee, under the scheme of Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Jyrhap River WKHD. During the inspection the HYC found that the construction of the RCC Bridge taken by the Project Implementation Committee, under the leadership of R. Kharbyngar APO, DRDA, Nongstoin as a Chairman, and secretary H. K. Thabah along with 12 members, was up to the mark.  They also found that the RCC bridge was extremely rrow for a light vehicle to pass. Speaking to this reporter on Wednesday, Fullbackstar Shangrit, president of HYC Lai Lyngdoh Area Unit, said that the Committee hand over the project through various sub contracts.
