HYC closes car showroom

SHILLONG, June 4: The Hynniewtrep Youth Council (HYC), Nongthymmai Circle on May 2, closed downed a car showroom of Reult Company at Mawblei.

The forceful closure of the showroom came after the Council received complaints from local employees that the Company had bulldozed the rights of the employees which is not in the working guidelines of the company.

The Council members led by their leader T Kharjahrin made the decision after complaints form 20 locals employees was received by them,

Richard Kylla an employee at the showroom informed that the owner of the showroom had threatened a few employees by issuing Warning Letter without any proper reason.

“The steps taken by this Company is wrong as it has not undertaken the proper guidelines of the Company,” he said.

The Council has informed that they will soon seek clarification on the matter from higher ranking officials of the Company and to discuss the problems faced by the employees.
