A CORRESPONDENT

ITANAGAR: Former Chief Minister and INC leader Nabam Tuki on Sunday said, “I have never applied for the candidature of Lok Sabha election 2019 from West constituency.”

Speaking to the reporters Tuki said, “I have not applied for party’s Lok Sabha candidate from West constituency. The decision to select me must have been taken at the highest political-level,” he said.

Tuki added, “I welcome the decision made by Congress president Rahul Gandhi and will make my full effort to see him as the next Prime Minister of India.”

Speaking on the resignation of Jarjum Ete, Tuki said it is very sad to know that she resigned from the party, which she should not have done as there is always a next time and lots of opportunities.

Jarjum Ete was the primary member of the Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and also secretary general of the All India Mahila Congress (AIMC).
