I01 Area celebrates Raising Day

GUWAHATI, April 22: Headquarters 101 Area raised in 1963 celebrated its 54th Raising Day here today with traditiol military fervor. It was raised primarily for provision of logistics support to filed formations which had to move to the Northeast in the wake of the Chinese aggression in 1962, when Mizoram had been under the grip on insurgency in 1966 etc. 101 GOC Lt Gen Depinder Singh Ahuja laid a wreath at the War Memorial and addressed all ranks of Headquarters 101 Area, a press release said.
