IAF can meet any challenge in combat operation: AOC

JORHAT, Feb 4: Air Commodore SK Verma, Air Officer Commanding of the Air Force Station, Jorhat, said the Indian Air Force, which was the fifth largest in the world, could take any challenge or test, be it combat operation or disaster magement and the people behind these machines were called air warriors.

 Air Commodore SK Verma said the Air Force Station, Jorhat, was the premier transport base of Eastern Air Command. To showcase the positive image of IAF and motivate the youth to join IAF, various events were organized under theme of ‘Know Your Forces’ as part of the Republic Day celebration and motivatiol lectures by IAF personnel across several schools and colleges were also conducted.

School and college students were thrilled to see the para dropping by  414 para troopers and the static display consist of AN-32, micro light aircraft, Indra Radar System and Akash Missile system.
