Ibohol Singha new chief of Manipuri literary body

SILCHAR, Oct 26: Dr Karam Ibohol Singha, retired lecturer, has been elected as the new president of the newly formed Manipuri Sahitya Parishad (MSP) for a term of three years, at a meeting held at South Barak Rural Development Agency Hall at Binkandie Part – II near Binkandie Ghat under Lakhipur sub-division on last Sunday. It was presided over by the previous president of the Parishad, T Benubabu Singha. The newly formed 43-member Committee will work for the development for the community as it has been doing over the years. Basanta Kumar Singha, retired lecturer of M C Das College, Soi, has been elected as the new secretary of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad.
