GUWAHATI, March 29: The 40th All Assam Inter District Chess Championship (Under–11 & 7), organize by Guwahati Chess Association, will start tomorrow at South Point School. A record number of 109 players from Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Jorhat, Barpeta, Kamrup (Rural) Darrang, Sonitpur, Lakhimpur and host Guwahati and from 6 recognized Chess Academies are participating in the event. The Assam team for tiol Under–7 and Under–11 chess championship will be selected from this tourment. M Arun Singh will officiate in the tourment as chief arbiter. Opening Ceremony will be held at 9 am tomorrow and first round will kick off at 10 am.
