IDCF programme launched at Lakhipur

Silchar, June 14: The launching programme of Intensified Diarrhoea Control Fortnight (IDCF) has been iugurated by sub divisiol medical officer Dr Y Kishore Singh at Lakhipur Block Primary Health Centre on last Monday. Dr Y Kishore Singh advised that people should be aware about the disease and also its symptoms. He also said that each child would be provided with an ORS packet, which will be distributed by ASHA workers. Every sub centres will have ANMs and ASHA workers. ORS packets will also be distributed at every Anganwadi centres. Both Anganwadi and ASHA workers will organize awareness camp on diarrhoea at every village. A drawing competition was also held on cleanliness. An awareness camp on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan has been also included in the list of activities.

 A rally regarding IDCF was also taken out by a large number of ASHA workers, AMNs, students, health staffs, Anganwadi workers, residents of that area, social workers and officials of various departments. They marched across the town of Lakhipur. An ORS and Zinc Corner have also been set up at every health sub centre. In addition to this, a mobile medical health team will also visit every Anganwadi centres for treating children. Among others who spoke at the iuguration programme included, BPM Sanjukta Das, block accountant mager Saumen Chakraborty, BPA Zahir Abbas, BDM Tapash th. Dr Y Kishore Singh thanked everyone for his or her active participation.
