IGU event at Jorhat

Jorhat, Feb 13: For the Golf loving people of Assam and the North East, it is a matter of great honour and pride that the Indian Golf Union [IGU] – the apex Golfing body of the Country has sanctioned its first ever IGU Event,  “IGU tiol Qualifier – II” which is one of their premier events to The Kaziranga Golf Resort, Jorhat from today.

Players from across the country are competing for the 10 available slots to qualify for the Main Gentlemen’s Tour of 2017.          

It may be mentioned that the IGU has also sanctioned to The Kaziranga Golf Resort another tourment – “IGU Yes Bank Eastern India Junior Boys Golf Championship” to be held between 24th to 28th April, 2017.     

Senior Officials from IGU who will conduct and supervise the Tourment have been camping in the venue and it includes the Tourment Director C.S. Shetty. One of the IGU nomited referees for the event is the Intertiolly Certified Prantor Baruah of Assam.
