IIM Shillong to host fifth edition of TEDxIIM Shillong

SHILLONG, Feb 17: IIM Shillong will host the fifth edition of TEDxIIM Shillong on February 18, where it will invite speakers from across the country to the educatiol hub of Northeast India to share ideas which have or will have a lasting impact on people’s lives.

Based on the theme ‘Alchemy of Choice’, this year’s edition seeks to underscore the transformative power of choice. The event is to be held at Hotel Polo Towers in Shillong, the capital city of the state of Meghalaya. The second edition of TEDxIIMShillong grabbed the attention of the TED community and earned the license holder a chance attend TEDGlobal in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. With all in place, the event is expected to scale equal, if not greater heights.

The list of speakers at the event includes Pankaj Bhadouria, winner of the first season of MasterChef India, Sheila Sri Prakash, acknowledged as one of the leading design thinkers of our age, Asha Bhat, winner of the Miss Supertiol pageant in 2014, Deepika rayan Bhardwaj, documentary filmmaker and men’s rights activist, beside other renowned persolities.
