MARGHERITA, March 7: Acting on a tip-off, Margherita police recently seized a truck laden with illegal coal. Around 15 tonnes of coal were found in the truck and two persons were arrested. The truck bearing registration number PB 11 AU 9148 was coming from mdang situated along the Assam -Aruchal Pradesh border and was on its way to Tinsukia. The illegal coal belonged to Shyamal Das and his truck driver Jaibeer Singh was also arrested by Margherita Police.
